History
Milledgeville Pediatrics has long been serving the Milledgeville community and surrounding counties. The senior partner, Dr. Luis Samper, has been in practice in Milledgeville for the duration of the practice's existence. He recently brought on a new partner in July 2008, Dr. Marshall Ivey.
Our People
Dr. Luis Samper, M.D. Dr. Samper is originally from Bogota, Columbia. He completed his undergraduate/pre-medical training at Johns Hopkins University. He subsequently attended medical school at Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in Columbus, Georgia, and was married at that time. He completed his residency training in Pediatrics at Baylor University in Houston, Texas. His training was completed with a fellowship in Experimental Biology and Infectious Diseases, also at Baylor University in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Marshall Ivey, M.D. Dr. Ivey joined the practice in July of 2008. He is originally from Athens, Georgia. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia. He then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He remained in Augusta after graduation from medical school to complete his training in Pediatrics at the Children's Medical Center, completing both an internship and residency in Pediatrics. Upon completion of residency he sat for the American Board of Pediatrics certifying examination and is currently board certified in Pediatrics. He is married with four children, ages 6, 5, 2, and 9 months.
LaKeycia Robinson LaKeycia is the office manager, handling everything from appointments to insurance claims to keeping everyone else on track throughout the busy office day. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field, working in long term care, medical/surgical wards, pediatrics, and emergency department care. She has been a Medical Coder for eight years, and has been a CNA for 20 years.
Angela Austin Angela has been with the practice since 2005. She completed her training in the Medical Assistant Program at Central Georgia Technical College. She stays busy administering immunizations and getting the patients ready for their visit with the doctor.
Judy Ferrell Judy has been with the practice as our receptionist since December 1989. She brought her child in one Winter day to see Dr. Samper, and liked it so much she decided to stick around! She stays busy juggling multiple phone calls, appointment books, and patient questions.
Delois C. Jordan Delois has been with the practice since 2009. She completed her training in the Medical Assistant Program at Sandersville Technical College. She worked as a CNA at Oconee Health Care Center prior to joining us. She works alongside Angela administering immunizations, working up patients, and keeping the practice moving efficiently.
